How we help
Fractional Growth Leadership
Fractional growth leadership means experienced growth executives join your leadership team part-time. They set the strategy, build the systems and lead the execution across marketing, sales and operations, for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.
Why this exists
Consultant, agency or full-time hire? There's a better first step.
Consultants recommend, then leave. Agencies execute tactics without owning the strategy. A full-time executive is the right move eventually, but it's a big, slow, expensive bet before the foundation is in place.
We sit in the gap: senior people who set the direction and roll up their sleeves to make it happen.
How the options compare
Four ways to get growth leadership
| Marketing agency | Consultant | Full-time executive | Wise Fox | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starts with | Your list of deliverables | A question to study | Learning the business after they're hired | Your growth goals |
| Owns the strategy | No | Recommends it | Yes | Yes |
| Does the work | Tactics only | No | Builds a team over time | Yes, hands-on. We use your team and outside partners where they're strong and do the rest ourselves |
| Measured by | Clicks and activity | The report and recommendations; results are up to your team | Business results | Pipeline and revenue; part of our pay is tied to growth |
| Time to impact | Fast, often unfocused | Weeks to a plan | Months to hire and ramp | Results inside the first 90 days |
| Commitment | Retainer | Project | Salary, benefits, equity | Cancel with 30 days' notice |
The growth engine
Growth is bigger than marketing.
Most growth challenges aren't channel problems. They're system challenges: positioning that hasn't kept up with the business, follow-up that depends on who has time, a sales process that lives with the founder, reporting that takes too long to trust. We look across the whole engine and focus on what will move it most.
How engagements work
Start with 90 days. Stay for the growth.
The 90-Day Growth Launch
Every engagement starts here. In three months we see the business clearly, build what's missing and launch the first campaigns, with a baseline to measure against. Fees are scaled to the size of your company.
About the launchOngoing growth leadership
If you want us to keep going, we lead the plan at a lower monthly fee, and part of our pay is tied to growth above the baseline we set together.
How we work
Strategy first. Then systems. Then results.
See it clearly.
How your business makes money, who buys and why, what's working and what isn't. We set the handful of numbers that matter.
Build the system.
Positioning, pipeline, CRM, follow-up and reporting, set up so growth doesn't depend on heroics.
Lead the execution.
We run the plan with your team and outside partners, report to leadership and keep adjusting toward what produces revenue.

Who it's for
Founder-led and growing
We work with founder-led companies that are growing, have something worth scaling and don't yet have a senior leader who owns growth.
Most of our clients are between $1M and $10M in revenue.
What we measure
If it can't be measured, it can't be managed.
We tie activity to the numbers leadership cares about:
The right measures depend on your business model, and we set the baseline together during the launch.
How we use AI: we use AI and automation to work faster and to make your systems leaner. You're hiring growth leadership, not software.
Planning an exit
Build a business a buyer will pay more for.
If a sale or succession is on your horizon, whether it's two years out or five, now is a good time to start. Buyers pay for growth they can see continuing after the founder steps back: steady, profitable revenue, a sales process the team runs on its own, reliable numbers and systems that hold up to a buyer's review.
That's the same work we do for growth. We've also been on the seller's side of the table: as an owner of a utility supply distributor, Matt helped triple revenue and double EBITDA, then led the sale of the company to a Fortune 500 buyer.
We get the business ready to sell. When the time comes, your advisors run the transaction, and the company they bring to market is stronger for it.

Common questions
What does "fractional" mean in practice?
Senior leaders who work part of each week inside your business: in your leadership meetings, owning the plan, directing the work. Not an outside firm you check in with once a month.
How much of your time do we get?
It depends on the stage and focus. The 90-Day Growth Launch is the most intensive phase; ongoing work settles into a steady weekly rhythm.
Do you work with our existing team and agencies?
Yes. We do the work to execute the plan, and we lead and coordinate the people already doing the work, recommending changes only where they'll pay off.
What does it cost?
The first 90 days carry a higher monthly fee for the intensive build; after that, a lower monthly fee plus pay tied to growth. Fees are scaled to company size. We'll talk specifics on the call.
Can we cancel?
Yes, any time, with 30 days' notice.
Do you guarantee results?
No one honest can. We tie part of our pay to growth instead.
What happens when we're ready for a full-time leader?
We help define the role and hand off the systems we've built.
Can you help us get ready to sell the business?
Yes. We focus on what buyers pay for: profitable growth, a sales process that doesn't depend on you, reliable numbers and documented systems. We're not a business broker, so when it's time to sell, your advisors run the transaction.
Where do you work?
We're based in the Chicago area and Southwest Florida, and work with clients nationwide.
